We are in the process of forming a Christian survival community in Northern Maine not far from the Candian border. The Spirit has shown us that this is a good area. We are forming a group on 85 acres in NY. Non religious- Non Political. Cabins are being built currently. One family has taken up permanent residence as caretakers. Orchards are going in about 4 weeks from now, and animals begin arriving in two weeks. Ponds, woods, and small river. We welcome both men and women singles as well as families. Willingness to work required. If you do not have time to devote, we have people who will do your share, but will want to be paid. You still must be on property at least 4 times a year. This will be a complete set up with hydroelectric, wind and solar as well as back up gen. Central commissary AND in cabin kitchens. Trade cabins (wood-shop, pottery, bees, dairy, etc) gun range, horses and all farm animals. Every cabin will have it’s own small green house as well as large central greenhouses- including a tropical greenhouse with coffee, bananas, citrus, etc. We all pay equal shares, live on land full time or part time- your choice. Children welcome, and we currently do have children in the group. Bigots need not apply. We do have a vetting process, good natured and hard working people preferred. Yes – we have a swimming pool

Maine is overlooked, but for a # of reasons may end up being one of the ideal places to retreat ! Few people or roads in NW section, & far from any targets, or urban areas !
Hello, I’m a youthful man in my 50’s, pretty prepared, have fully owned possible small farm retreats and houses – by next year should be basically unemployed, (but will still have some income) so will have time to improve present retreat & perhaps work on another more defensible one . I own, or have use of 20 – 25 acres in lightly populated Western Mountains of Maine, very near Quebec & New Hampshire.
I was a carpenter/builder, still have tools & equipment, as well as an excavator for clearing land to plant, & for all building needs – I’m into earth-sheltered, defensible & nuclear resistant homes (as well as earth-sheltered greenhouses). Also have a sawmill, and 2 properties have nice streams for possible mini-hydro power generation.
I’m somewhat laid-back while understanding the need for discipline, and at the place where I expect to get set up there are neighbors on my private road who I believe will fall into line as a “Neighborhood Watch-on-Steroids” as things progress (they are gardeners, one is a botanist, and have big greenhouses) – this road can be gated, as well as the dead-end town road mine comes off.
A huge wilderness lake is at the bottom of the hill, and we are surrounded by thousands of acres of Paper Co. land which is open to public use.
We will not be haters, or espouse any sort of revolution – we will just try to be ready for a depression & whatever else comes down the road knowing that the various govt.s will have their hands full & not be able to protect us.
I personally am not a member of any conventional religion, but do try to live a correct life.
While I will need male partners, I will very much need a female one too, and if you were young enough to consider having a child, that would be nice – but not necessary. If you have children, and we are a viable couple, I would consider it my priveledge to help raise them.

Recently relocated to Maine and am seeking to network with others of like mindedness. I am seeking to purchase rural land and build a small conex box winterized shelter.
