40 acre retreat starting construction July 4th weekend.

Property: 40 acres off the grid, no building codes, microwave and satellite internet available, cell phone service available. Drivable roads but 4 wheel drive is recommended.  Secluded and like minded neighbors.

Area: Anchor Point/Homer area. Known as cute little drinking town with a fishing problem. Summer tourist area 15 miles down the road.  End point of road system and site of July 4th motocylcle race from the FLA Keys. Great hunting and fishing. Good growing season for Alaska. Must pass thru mountains to get there from Anchorage. One two lane road.  Snow mobiles and 4 wheelers used a lot by locals on back roads. Very self suffiecient.

US: we are both ex-military. 50 and 55. Have been preppers for years. He ex-US Army Ranger. We have construction and farming knowledge. Wife is Mormon.

Status: We have enough basic supplies minus the lumber for three small cabins. All items are secured 24/7. Lumber mill close by with good prices. We are starting to be on property fulltime July 4th weekend.

We have livestock: hogs, chickens, rabbits, goats.  Seedlings to bring down.

Longterm goal is 4 or five singles/couples/familes to help build self sufficient homestead. Terms by written contract.  All parties must be able to provide for own upkeep and participate in groups preparedness. Building livestock pens, greenhouse, feeding, upkeep, etc.

You must be able to come to Alaska to meet face to face. Not making any commitments by email.

GOM is still being polluted, longterm unemployment has been cut-off, webbots are saying we are in for some tough times.  If you have ever wanted to move to Alaska this might be your best bet but don’t wait. Summer is here now. We are ready now. Be able to walk property and pick your cabin spot now. We can help new comers with getting supplies. Can utilize COSTCO, Mormon cannery, have contacts for helping with construction, etc.  Ex-substitute teacher with master’s degree can help with homeschooling.

Now: Are you ready to make that life change for a new start?

What can you bring to the table?

Think outside of the box.

Send inquiries to anchorpointretreat@yahoo.com

We are moving to the MatSu valley shortly, and would like to network with other preppers in the area. Eventually, I’d like to form a retreat group for security/sustainability in a TEOTWAWKI situation.

A bit about us. We are Christians, and plan on having enough extra for charity in hard times. As we follow the Rawlesian school of thought, we plan on making all donations through a third party (most likely a church).

We have no patience for racists, and disassociate ourselves from such people. We strongly believe in judging people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.

My wife grew up on a thousand acre family farm in Oregon, and learned from her grandmother how to live without modern conveniences. She can spin yarn from fiber, and can make clothes from it. She is also quite experienced in cooking with the bare basics on wood stoves. She has extensive canning experience, and we plan on canning as much meat, fruit & vegetables as we can lay our hands on.

I grew up here in Alaska, and spent just about every summer of the first 22 years of my life out in the woods here. I have had a good amount of wilderness survival training, and plan on getting more as time permits.
I have 10 years martial arts experience and have taught many students in the dojo I trained in. I can teach self defense to people of all ages, as young as 5-6 if they are precocious enough. I have learned and can teach Judo, Aikido, Ed Parker Kenpo, Shotokan karate, Tae Kwon Do, and Okinawan weapons.

We are comfortable with firearms, and are currently budgeting for several trips to Thunder Ranch in Oregon, and perhaps Front Sight after that. We strongly believe in being able to protect ourselves, rather than cower & wait for someone to come to our rescue.

We would like to network with people in the Anchorage & MatSu areas, trade information, and get to know our like minded neighbors. For the right people, we are willing and have the space to store supplies for 3-4 families, and can provide housing if the need arises.

For those interested, I’d like to start regular meetings. Probably in the Wasilla area, but we’ll see who is interested first.

Talkeetna Pat.

I have posted several times as we progressed. We bought 40 acres just north of Homer Alaska. We have a 40′ connex filled with supplies and still procuring more.

Have hogs, goats. Chickens and ducks on the way. Experienced in Alaska living. Ex-Army Ranger and wife.

Looking for go-getter single or couple who are ready NOW.  If you have little money you must make it up in talent and enthusiaism. If you want us to build your cabin, buy a connex and stock it, you had better have a fairly large amount of money. We started on this project five years ago.  Not carrying any late comers weight.

Land is secluded and off the grid but drivable with a 4 wheel drive truck. Not making any choices by email. If you are interested you must be able to come to Alaska to see place and meet us. This will be a hands on retreat and farm. Work timetable for Alaska starts soon and we will go then.  No drugs, no felons. PERIOD.

If LDS Bishop’s approval will suffice. If military commander or 1sgt letter of good standing will suffice. Will consider active duty/Guard from Alaska if willing to spend time off building your cabin and stocking it. If nothing goes wrong great place to hunt and fish.

Interested? email darkdakota@aol.com

We are a couple that has spent the past few years preparing ourselves for what most would consider are situations that can not be prepared for.  The past year or so we have really buckled down and want to see if there are others in the Interior of Alaska that would like to help bounce ideas off of. All in all, just looking for like minded people that may have ideas or skills we can learn from.

Thanks for looking!

Hello,

I  noted that the previously used forum has been deleted and wanted to get up a new posting. We were listed as the group seeking land in SE Alaska. Since that time we’ve come to the conclusion that we are needing land which is reachable by land, and not too terribly remote. We are looking at several locations currently and have met up with a group which is forming and is however too small.

The plan is to set up a homesteading type community that is survivalist in nature. We fully intend to continue out lives and interests, but are preparing (quite seriously) for harder times to come. Having the support of a likeminded group of Christians (of all faiths) to support and help one another is our idea of the ‘good life’.

We are predominantly looking at raw land, which there is much of in Alaska. We hope to be off the grid, or rather have no problems with being off the grid.
