Hello, I am brand new to this site. Looking for someone to communicate with and exchange ideas and advice.  I have begun gathering the basics, so much to learn.

Hey everyone,

I am in northwest Indiana/Chicago area. Looking for a group to plan with around the area, or one to assimilate into somewhere in Houston, Texas area (have family there). Started to prep but have a long way to go. Skills in shooting, construction, financials, planning, etc. Let me know through this post.

Hey there- new to this forum but am looking for like-minded central indiana preppers.  Got alot of ideas and a good start on my own but think having contact with other central indiana preppers would be a good thing.  If you are out there and interested, drop me a line.

Hi I’m new here, but I’ve been interested in Survivalism for a long while. The economony has really let me down in my chosen profession (Carpet /Vinyl Installer)and I have found that I need to work on my at home skills. Things like food and crafts I could use to  put money in the pocket and food in the pantry.I’ve recently been looking at the idea of storing whole grains and grinding them myself,I think I may be better off just storing flour instead. I am single,so theres no reason to store alot.I’m thinking of 6 months to get thru the winter til I can grow my own. Mayby MRE’s and ER’s would be a better idea. I live in S. Indiana and have access to a wooded area and pasture which I hope to obtain soon.I’d like to hook up with a few locals or group to talk with in the area.I just bought the book “Patriots” and have been reading it. So far I find it  interesting.I’ve mostly studied wilderness survival ,but this ecnomony has changed my focas. Now I’m trying to make my home and my life a little more independant of modern life.I have mini kits, medi kits, maxi kits,BOB’s and survival books out the a$$. Hope to chat with ya later.

Well I’ve been following the survival blog for about a year now and am really impressed with almost all articles I have gained a lot of useful info on it thanks to all the articles by viewers and also JWR himself we are a married couple with two kids 11 and 4 heat with wood garden can and freeze as much as possible and the rest goes to friends have poultry for eggs and some meat have rabbits for meat and some pelts first year with chickens and rabbits have had learning curves for the whole family have several 4X4 as everyday drivers also more extreme offroad vehicle we have not exactly been able to find like minded people I feel as if we are the only ones in our area that are in this mindset when shtf takes place we have to stand our ground and have to have faith that the Lord keeps watch over us not saying to just set and let him take care of us but that at that time he will give us the strength and wisdom to endure and for me to be capable of defending my family yes we are Christians well the 4 year old is not born again because he doesn’t comprehend it yet but he still knows about God says his prayers and talks about God we have really been blessed thank you for having this site if anyone would like to comment feel free

I am located in Fort Wayne IN and very new to this but trying to shorten and speed up the learning curve as much as possible.  Would greatly enjoy getting to know (personally or email) other like minded individuals in this area.
