Ok, so I finished reading Patriots. Now what’s my first step? Do a little digging and see what others are coming up with when it comes to forming these groups. My biggest question is: Who is near me that I can join in with and train, or at least stay in contact with for information?

If there is anyone in the Fort Knox/Georgetown area that has already started a group, lemme get in contact with ya. I’m military, just returned from AE, and looking to find a good bunch of Christian folks who want to stay prepared like myself.

We are a Christian (wife is Quaker, husband is Baptist), home schooling family of four looking for a like-minded couple or small family to join our homestead.  We are not giving away or offering to sell any land.  This is just an opportunity for someone who is willing to work hard to prepare for when TSHTF, wants to live simply, is interested in “bugging in” rather than “bugging out”, but has little money to get started.

Our homestead is on 10 acres, 12 miles from the nearest town and 1 1/2 hours from the nearest city.  It is not located in a hurricane, tornado, or earthquake area.  We sustainably farm about 2 acres of it.

The available cabin site is on a hillside and is accessible only on foot, so you must be in good health/physical condition.  It is off-grid and would probably require a composting toilet.  There is a nice garden spot, and a cave/rootcellar for storing the harvest.  There is a creek and a spring.  There are enough felled trees and available stone to build a small (+/- 12×24, 1 1/2 story) log cabin.  We could also provide you with a supply of OP seeds suitable to the area, and livestock (chickens, long-haired rabbits, dairy goats…sorry, land won’t support cows) to get you started.  There is good hunting in the area (deer, turkey, small game) and fishing nearby (trout).

There are few high-paying jobs nearby, so you would have to be fairly debt-free.  We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard and can think outside the box.  Non-smokers, non-drinkers preferred.  NO DRUGS.  Please, no couch potatoes, wannabes, racists, hate-mongers, or militants.

Interested?  E-mail northskylight(at)yahoo(dot)com and we’ll talk.
