Hi.  I’m in NYC and staying for now for job related reasons.  I am looking for potential groups that I might join in case of need.  Have started doing what prepping I can here to take with me but wishing to explore group options if possible.  Thanks.  I hope you’ll respond.

There are three of us who have been prepping for ten years now . We are very prepared . The problem is numbers . WE have just three . There is a lot of work to still be done and time is running out . We don’t want to join a discussion group either . We are survivalists and we see all to clearly what is going on . We are looking for other Americans who are survivalists and believe in God and His Son . Please , no time wasters because we don’t have the time to waste . Penna, N J,Del,Mar welcome . We are located in Philadelphia .    God Bless . . .

About 8 months ago, I woke up to what was going on around me.  Since that time I have started to learn what I can, and prep step by step.  I have come to the realization that the best chance of getting through the bad times is safety in numbers.  Unfortunately finding like-minded folks even in the more rural areas is not an easy task.  Also it is tough to create a team from a group of strangers.

To that end I was thinking that maybe a cross-training, and buying pool (people pool their requirements so that they can buy supplies in bulk for discounts) group might help the preparations while giving people a chance to get to know each other for any other future endeavors.

I figure getting together on a regular basis to trade training, and ideas is a good way to get started.

I personally have been working on food storage, basic gardening, camping, and communications.  Looking for all types of people, from all walks of life, with all types of skills.

If interested please contact me.

Looking to form or join a group of preppers in Western PA and/or Eastern Ohio and can’t find much going on around this area.  We will need to stand together when things get ugly. Please contact me at frank15066@yahoo.com and let’s discuss the possibilities and prepare as a united survivalist group. I would like to start preparedness awareness and training in this area soon.

My fiance and I are currently sticking it out in CC Philadelphia, because that is where the work is for me, but we are dead set on finding a more viable situation ASAP. I have spent the past two years on the fence as to what the best strategy is (i.e. stay put in the coastal urban nightmare and make more money as a professional vs. run away to somewhere idyllic and likely go broke). We’ve ultimately decided that It’s best to work with what we have and attempt to transition incrementally within the region. My current goal is to find a near-term living situation within commuting distance of the city, preferably a work-trade caretaker or farm help position, while continuing to put aside as much capital as possible to purchase retreat property and infrastructure further off the beaten path (north-central PA wilds region seems like the best bet). Now that we intend to stick it out in PA we are eager to meet others in the region with similar interests and goals. Whether you are a property owner looking for skilled helpers, a group looking for new members, or just folks like us who are feeling a bit isolated amidst the endless sea of zombie-sheeple, all replies will be warmly received.

I suppose to round things out I’ll mention something about our background. We are young (late 20′s-early 30′s), physically fit, hard-working, open-minded, somewhat quiet and private, and very considerate of the natural rights, beliefs, and property of others.

Him: raised in rural NY state by survival-conscious and outdoorsy parents. I currently work as an operations manager and designer in multimedia installations and architectural lighting design, but have also done my time in the conventional building trades, landscaping, and agriculture. I’m a CAD draftsman, carpenter, rigger, and electrician. For the past few years I’ve supplemented my regular income with work-trade arrangements, mostly rehabbing rental properties during my off-hours in exchange for cheap/free rent. Off-grid power and efficient housing design are big areas of interest about which I’m trying to learn as much as possible. My work schedule is currently very flexible; I’m sometimes required to travel abroad and/or pull off 80hr weeks, but this is balanced out by routine blocks of downtime, which makes working on a retreat project more feasible.

Her: Raised in NJ but spent many summers with relatives in rural West Virgina. She is very gifted in caring for all things living; be they plants, animals, children, or adults with special needs. In addition to 10+ years experience in the conventional restaurant business, her knowledge of traditional/whole foods and preservation techniques continues to grow rapidly. She is also well-versed in natoropathic wellness and Bikram yoga, and is a member of the Weston A. Price foundation.

That’s all the rambling I’ll do for now.

We are forming a group on 85 acres in NY.  Non religious- Non Political.  Cabins are being built currently.  One family has taken up permanent residence as caretakers.  Orchards are going in about 4 weeks from now, and animals begin arriving in two weeks.  Ponds, woods, and small river.  We welcome both men and women singles as well as families.  Willingness to work required.  If you do not have time to devote, we have people who will do your share, but will want to  be paid.  You still must be on property at least 4 times a year. This will be a complete set up with hydroelectric, wind and solar as well as back up gen.  Central commissary AND in cabin kitchens. Trade cabins (wood-shop, pottery, bees, dairy, etc) gun range, horses and all farm animals.  Every cabin will have it’s own small green house as well as large central greenhouses- including a tropical greenhouse with coffee, bananas, citrus, etc. We all pay equal shares,  live on land full time or part time- your choice. Children welcome, and we currently do have children in the group.  Bigots need not apply. We do have a vetting process, good natured and hard working people preferred.  Yes – we have a swimming pool ;)

We have inquired, posted, gently suggested, and out-right asked…but to no avail!  Is anyone in western Pennsylvania preparing for what is just around the corner for this country if things don’t drastically change and soon?  My wife and I have awoken to the seriousness need of preparing now and are looking for like minded folks anywhere near our region but we’re striking out.

We’re feeling as if area groups must already have their maximum capacities or we are very alone in are efforts to prepare.  So, how do you find like minded folks anyway??

Concerned & Packing,

Penncountryboy
