I just wanted to start a thread to see if anyone had information or was interested in a long-term bugout location lease. I am not interested in selling my land, but a long term lease might be an option that is affordable for some. I would just like some feedback at this point, the pros and cons of this strategy. This economy might turn around and some might not want ownership. I am in the mountains of east Tennessee. You can contact me at farmer.john36@yahoo.com . Thanks for any input.

We are as yet a small group of family and friends that have teamed together to have a small farm in NW of Atlanta. We have great water supplies, fertile land with mature vegetable gardens, berries and fruit trees. Chickens now and goats soon. We are looking to add some team members that have medical skills. At this time we have a PT and an RN. Would be interested in expanding for the right folks. Only requirement is to have 12 months of supplies for yourself and dependants, come out and work every now and then and acceptance by the group. We are not antigovernment or skinheads just enjoy our independance.
If interested you can contact me at tangomike3@gmail.com

Hello all, live in W TN, been a pretty active shooter for long time, a friend got me involved with prepping a year ago, found this site an thought would join, maybe pick up decent info or make a friend or 2.
I am new to this site ,but have been preparing a couple of years. I have 40 acres and wanting some kind of shelter for my family/friends . Thinking about a log cabin anyone out there ever built one from scratch , I have plenty of cedar trees. Anyideas would be greatly appreciated .
Hey I’m Julie,
My boyfriend and I currently live in Florida but we are seeking a retreat in Tennessee. We’ve been into preparedness now for almost 2 years but I feel we have acomplished quite a lot. We’re saving money to try and buy land in the southwestern part of Tennessee. We have already been for a visit and were going to put money down on a 5 acre piece of land but we were short on money. We are young. I’m 18 and Mike is 23 but we are very active and know a lot about gardening, canning, and raising chickens & ducks. We have a decent collection of guns and ammo comming along and are canning now. I’ve learned how to knit, crochet, make jellies and can them, and I’m a great cook as well as Mike. Anyway, we were looking to start our own retreat alone, but as we read Patriots and How To Survive 2012 we have realized it is just way too much work for one couple. We really loved Tennessee and we are looking for other’s that maybe would like to start a retreat with us or already have one that we could maybe join. I never really talk about this stuff so it’s nice to have a place where I can speak my mind.
Thanks for your time, Julie
I’m in North West GA and am looking for like minded folks to “grow” with. I dont know the right word for it so I’ll use “grow”. But I want to know, learn, share, noodle, do, etc more with getting prepared.
I am a father, husband, christian, hunter, crossfiter, athletic etc person. I figure I own paper insurance, I should probably have some tangible insurance too.
This “hello” might lead to a talk over beers or a group that creates a retreat. I dont know… I’ve never done this sort of thing before. typically i keep quiet about my interests… well b/c you know.
post here or email me

Greetings!
I hope if you’re reading this than you are in a better situation than I’m currently…I have recently become all too aware of the “complex” situation behind the American dollar, Currently I am stuck in a large metropolitan area…quite simply one of the worst places to be stuck when shit hits the fan…I’m 21, full of life, will and energy =) and I’m looking for a place (that is established, or currently forming) where I can take an active part in learning/living the experiences that will be necessary to endure these tough times ahead.
Pst with any additional questions, or any advice!
Thanks in advance, God bless -
