WSM WISHES TO FORM/JOIN A PREP SUPPORT GROUP IN THE ALBANY OREGON AREA. PREFERABLY CHRISTAIN BASED.

MY BACKGROUND IS MILITARY/SECURITY.  I HAVE OVER 18 YEARS OF ARMY/AIRFORCE SECURITY EXPERIENCE WHICH INCLUED 3 CONSECUTIVE OIF TOURS OF DUTY.  I WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND MONTHLY MEETINGS THAT INCLUDE POOLING OUR KNOWLEDGE, RESOURCES AND TRAINING.

I’m having difficulties here. I cannot seem to edit or remove my posts.

Can anyone help????

thanks, so much.

We are a homesteading family in Oregon already set up in our own place but still makin preparations every day. We would like to find others in the northwest part of Oregon that are also preparing. We have our “group” set so we aren’t looking for people to join. We just would like to find some like minded folks we could barter, trade, and share info with once things go.

Retreat site outside of Grants Pass looking for a non-denomination or similar, married, Christian couple, with children- (We have pre-teen children ).

Minimal expectations on our part- You will contribute to monthly operational and upgrade costs- (reasonable); your children are well disciplined; you have your own preparations; our doctrinal beliefs are compatible.

It is possible to live here prior to the crash if we get along; it is also possible to store your preps here prior to bug out should you desire.

Send a brief introduction stating why you believe your family would be a good match in a retreat site together with a statement describing your faith and we will go from there.

I have tried this before and found very few people serious or willing to make a commitment towards becoming prepared. There likely is scarce time left. Walkers not talkers please.

I am looking for a group of preparing people in Washington or in western Idaho and perhaps even Northern Oregon. I have been finding it difficult to find anyone who values the same principles of preparedness, thus this post. I am somewhat of a newbie, but I have some valuable skills. I am a single twenty five year old male who is in college. I am also a carpenter, mountaineer, hunter, and libertarian minded Christian. But perhaps my greatest area of skill comes from my mountain climbing experiences. I have been pretty successful on some very big peaks, but more importantly, I have learned a lot about packing packs, equipment, hunger, toughness, and how to survive some deadly situations. However, having said all of that, I think that what is in the mind is the best tool that anyone can have for surviving TEOTWAWKI, obviously. One thing that I have learned over and over again, is that you can never be in too good of shape (Something which I think is way overlooked)… And being in great shape is another one of my valuable assets.
I know there are some long established groups who require you to have a trillion years worth of food and supplies stored away before they will even consider you for their group… Which is fine. I’m just not there yet. But hopefully I will be in a somewhat comfortable state of preparedness by the end of this year… We’ll see.

If anyone is interested or has any questions, please let me know.

Looking for like minded preppars in the process of building a retreat who could use a hard working Carpenter (Building Contractor) and a Teacher. I grew up on a rural 4.5 acres and can turn my hand to just about any work as necessary in a retreat situation, especially building, maintenance, and repair. I grew up working large gardens and have some non-hybrid seeds with no land to grow on. I can’t decide who works harder as my wife is so dedicated and conscientious she just never seems to take a break. We are a family of four (2 boys) living in Central Oregon. We are God fearing and Bible believing Christians who are concerned about the direction our world is heading, and this concern would be outright fear and worry if it were not for our faith in Christ. I have been working towards preparedness for 2 years. I began after a second read of J W Rawles. If I would have been mindful 5 years ago, we would be in Idaho on our own land feeling more secure. I have accumalated a nice tool box of defensive fire arms and ammunition, tools, gear, food, and fresh water storage etc. I am constantly trying to improve my preparedness on a small budget.  I am a licensed Ham radio operator, and have quite abit of defensive firearm, carbine, precision rifle, shot gun and some tactical training. Central Oregon is a pretty good place to be, and I am preparing to make whatever stand might become necessary in an imperfect neighborhood situation. I have good neighbors who are somewhat like minded but unorganized. I am fearful of our situation in a worst case scenario, if we had to bug out. I am looking for a situation we could invest in, but have never sought out any situation like this before. The situation and people would have be of God’s providence as I am very protective of my family and any influence that I would subject them to. I am wondering if people are really able to match up, if people with land can use what we bring to the table, if it’s enough to start, etc.

Prayerfully Preparing

G’day,

I’m a single 37yr bloke and have been in the States for 2yrs now.  Currently work in Oklahoma and heading to Southern Oregon around spring next year.  Spent several years in the Australian Army, can handle myself & bang sticks quite well and have spent the rest of my life building houses and commercial projects.

I was fully prepped Down Under but moved here because of the ex, which is all water under the bridge but I’ve already started again on the preps.  I will use this year to make contact with suitable people and similar ideas.  Survival whether from natural or man made disasters is stronger in numbers, even if its just 2.  Not looking to build fort Knox but do the have tools & skills if required, just a quiet secluded property away from the rat race where self sufficient is a priority and permaculture is enjoyed.  Not interested in politics or making up a new religion  as wtshtf neither will have any relevance on being able to provide food, shelter and protection for you.

My day job down the track will be law enforcement, a career chosen as part of my survival preps.   Single or families, it doesn’t worry me just normalcy.  Easy going and can adapt to all situations, open to financial options as well.      aussie dot michael 73 at gmail dot com

cheers,

aussie

Hello-I too am very concerned about the current realities and future problems in this great land. My goal is to meet other like-minded people (within about a 100 mile radius of Portland) and combine our education, skills and resources to prepare for the worst, while hoping for the best. The purchase of acerage is a goal for me in the next 6 months to a year. (I have done that before in Idaho so this is not new).
I want to build a team based on the fine, logical and realistic models of James Rawles’ works. “Patriots” spells-out things really well in my opinion.

Before getting into my background, I wish to state that I am not interested in extreme views, politics, race-bashing and the like. It’s nice to see that so many other posts declare similar thoughts and feelings. It matters.

My background: SWM, 44, healthy, non-smoker, B.A. in Radio Broadcasting/Production, former law enforcement/P.O.S.T. certified, (5 years as a park ranger in Colorado), currently in security management, 1st aid/CPR, licensed amateur radio operator, kayaker, dirt bike owner/rider, equipped and trained in survival gear, 4×4 and camper owner, student of prep./surv. issues since high school during 3 years of JROTC, collector of prep./surv. books and avid reader, year-round camper, intermediate martial artist, novice tracker, lots of target shooting exp., wilderness leadership training, downhill/xcntry. skier, swimmer, solid drummer (sorry, I had to include that), good people skills (I think).
I would like to learn about welding, blacksmithing, carpentry, and gardening. It’s important for me to learn something worthwhile everyday.
Like everyone, I have strengths and weaknesses. My disposition is mellow and friendly, but I can handle stressful moments too.

Someday, I hope to find the right woman who is interested in building a happy and prosperous future (so there is another goal to add to my wish list).

Shall we open a discussion? Shall we talk about the future?

Best wishes to you all.

God bless The U.S.A.!

Hello,

I live in the Rogue Valley(Southern Oregon), looking for like minded people to talk with. Training in Healthcare; just starting out; will be looking for property and a good group of people to share ideas, conversation and general moral support. Thanks.

I’m presently located in the Las Vegas, Nevada area, but seeking to join or start a preparedness group in Northern Nevada, or Southern Idaho/Oregon.  I am presently affiliated with the military, but due to retire within two years and know few people who share my interest in sustainable living and survival readiness.
